How to play
Your passenger names a floor the moment they get in. The Gokaido Department Store parking garage has five levels, just like the store, and every level has a store entrance by the elevator that leads straight into that floor's shops. Park on that floor, as close to the entrance as you can.
Your left hand steers. Your right hand only does Go and Back. The longer you hold Go, the faster you drive (up to 20 km/h). Let go and the car brakes to a stop on its own, and once it's stopped it won't roll, even on a ramp. Pressing Back while you're still rolling forward brakes first; once you've stopped, keep holding it for half a second to reverse. When you back up, red, yellow and green guide lines show on the ground, and the parking radar beeps as you get close to things.
It's one way: take the ramp on the right to go up. Each level is one loop, and a sign at every ramp shows how many spots are free upstairs. The higher you go, the emptier it gets, but the farther your passenger has to walk. On the target floor there's always one car that puts its hazards on and backs out, so you can wait for its spot.
Parked? Hands off. Stop inside a stall with both hands off, and when the P ring fills up (1.5 s) you're parked. Your passenger gets out and gives you a score. Wheelchair, priority (pregnant women, seniors, families with little kids), EV charging and small-cars-only spots are off-limits, and your passenger will remind you.
Floor guide
At Gokaido Department Store (a made-up store), the entrance on every floor is in the same spot by the elevator, under a green sign that reads 店内入口 ("store entrance"). On the target floor, a pink ring of light glows on the ground in front of it.

Scoring
100 pts max: floor 40, walk to the entrance 30, short route 10, neat parking 15 (5 each for centered, straight and pulled all the way in), nose out 5 (back in, so you can drive straight out later).
Wrong floor? Then it counts the walk to the elevator, plus 45 m for every floor you're off. One floor off leaves you 12 floor pts; two or more, none.
Penalties: over the line into the next stall −10, each scrape on a wall or pillar −10, less than 45 cm outside the passenger door (it won't open) −5.
When you don't make it
Hit another car or a scooter: the round ends, and you call the insurance company.
Scrape a wall or pillar 3 times: the car goes in for repairs, and the round ends.
Still not parked after 5 minutes: your passenger says let's just go home today.
Your passenger

Someone different rides shotgun every round. Every 10 seconds or so they chat with you, warn you when you're about to hit something, and point out open spots. They speak Japanese, with subtitles on screen.
Sweet Yui cheers you on the whole way, but fail to park (crash, scrape three times or give up) and she turns savage. Snarky Rin roasts everything from your driving to your life choices, then suddenly goes soft once you park. Kenta is your coworker and teasing buddy, catching a ride in the company car after a sales call, and he roasts you no matter what.
The car is right-hand drive, so your passenger sits on the left: when you park, leave some room outside their door, or they can't open it.
Once you've parked, your passenger comments on your spot. Close and you get praise, too far and you hear complaints. Way off on the floor and… Yui or Rin brings up her ex, then says right away she's kidding. Rounds with Kenta get office-themed titles.
